ABC words game

Insert the words in alphabetical order! (Cut and glue)
Print all pages (3-4 copies) for group play. Give time to put all the words in alphabetical order. Conduct competition among the groups. You also can conduct the “I spy” game using the color of the words. For example: “I spy with a little eye, something (the word) in red”
“Sorting the words” activity will be a wonderful way to sort the words by names. Example: words related to transport, fruit, animals, etc.
More fun activities can be conducted with these worksheets, it depends on your creativity. J
For more advanced level learners: cut empty circles of words and ask students to write more complicated words in alphabetical order.

ABC Reading "B"

ABC Reading passage  "B"
Here are another reading worksheets with the text and activities that I am happy to share. These resources designed for young learners and I think it will be useful for practicing reading and vocabulary both in the classroom and home. You can download pdf and audio files by clicking on the link:

ABC Reading passages

ABC Reading
Our second grades have already finished learning ABC and it's time to read short texts and do fun activities for checking comprehension. I started working on it; each text will start with ABC letters. Today's text is "All about Antelopes". After reading the text learners will answer the questions. By the way, if some words are unknown in the text it's better to conduct vocabulary activity or give a definition ( maybe give the translation of the words).
Sometimes students face difficulty in reading passages alone, keeping in mind this I prefer to conduct pair or group reading in order to encourage them to help each other.  By doing this I can improve my students'  comfort and confidence.
This teaching material includes one page of reading text, task page (Word search task and writing facts cloud) and audio for listening.

School - related words

School-related words activities
I've just added new collections of school-related words with activities. They are printable and colorful. As for my learners, they adore colorful worksheets and crafted visual aids in the classroom.
I suggest you print and cut the word pencils, ask students to read and show pictures of these words. Your students can add more words related to school looking around the school or classroom. Most of the learners are active in playing word games such as "Boggle", "Find your partner word", "Word sorting game" and " One picture worth a thousand words" in our classroom. In "School-related words" worksheets you can find an activity that helps learners not only learn school words but also revising ABC by putting the words in alphabetical order.
Here are the worksheets that you can download for free.
Put the words in alphabetical order!
Encourage your students to learn school words by cutting and pasting them on the board under the pictures of these words! Have fun!
